Why should I have my Burns appraised?
For insurance purposes it is always good to have a current appraisal to make sure your Burns art is covered for full replacement value. In the event of burglary, damage during a move or an unforeseen accident, it is good to know the current value of your art. Ron's art has increased over the years and earlier works may have gone up in value, meaning a replacement would be more expensive than the original purchase price.
What type of pieces do you recommend having appraised?
We recommend having original works, commissioned pieces, specially remarqued or embellished pieces and sold out or otherwise unavailable limited editions appraised.
How much is an appraisal?
Appraisals are $100 per piece and are typically processed with 3 -5 business days.
You will also receive a 10% off coupon good towards a future original or limited edition purchase.
What will I receive?
With each appraisal you will receive an official document for your records via the e-mail address you provide below that includes the image of the piece (if provided), the title, size and the appraised value of the piece. As a thank you for your patronage, you will also receive upon the completion of your appraisal fee checkout, a 10% off coupon good for a one-time use on any Burns original or limited edition.
How is the value of a piece determined?
The value of a piece is a determined by a number of factors including but not limited to the year of creation, composition , type of piece (original, limited edition, etc.) and the size of the piece.
